An evening dedicated to food, family, and the stories that link them together. Appealing to all the senses, this event is an opportunity to celebrate Toronto’s rich and diverse food traditions and the shared tradition of learning recipes from your grandmother.
Featuring bubbie-inspired performances by Toronto’s best storytellers, including: Anthony Rose of Rose and Sons, Sarah Elton of CBC’s Here and Now, Judy Perly of Free Times Café, Alida Solomon of Tutti Matti and her mom Maureen, gourmet health-guru Rose Reisman, playwright and novelist Sean Dixon, Denise Booth of the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, and Dino Venasio of Ben and Izzy’s. With a musical performance by the Varsity Jews, and post-show kosher noshes from Ben and Izzy’s and Project HaMotzi.
