My piece in Lucky Peach

I’m obsessed with Indian sweets and have been trying to perfect my mithai-making skills for more than a decade. I’ve scrounged around for recipe books in bookstores in India, begged family members for their secrets and studied at my mother-in-law’s side, watching her in the kitchen. So when I was invited for a sweet-making lesson by Nalin Bapodra, a veteran sweet master in the London suburb of Arnos Grove, I jumped. And wrote about it for the holiday issue of Lucky Peach.
